After interviewing a dozen people, we chose David Soule to help us design our dream home. David was very helpful and most patient during our design process. We are now building. We have desired some design changes, and David is always available and fabulously helpful in coordinating the engineering and the change. We are extremely happy we found David, and would unconditionally recommend him to anyone desiring to design any imaginable structure!

My wife and I contracted with FrameWorks for the design of a 450 sq ft addition to our 1940’s home. Many architects/drafters can do adequate work, but what differentiates Dave from the others is that he has spent many years swinging a hammer. His knowledge of what really works at the jobsite as well as pitfalls to watch out for are the true value of what you are purchasing. I cannot emphasize enough how much money and headaches we saved from Dave’s realistic advice.

And yes, his CAD skills and design advice are as good or better than what you can expect from some high-end urban architect, but at a more reasonable price.

As yet another year is coming to an end; I wanted to pause a moment to thank you for your loyal service to our company over the many years you’ve been designing beautiful custom homes (Log , Post and Beam and Frame) for our customers. We appreciate your attention to detail and the artful way you have of being able to incorporate a client’s ideas onto paper. You go above and beyond the call of duty in making yourself available to meet with us and our customer whether it’s at our office, the customer’s site or your office. Not to mention, working with the county on the client’s behalf. It’s so refreshing to find that your good faith estimates are right on target 99.9% of the time. Most amazing is your practice of letting a client continue to make changes to their Preliminary Plans until they are ready to proceed to Final Plans without additional cost. Not many Designers do that. Past designer’s we’ve used stringently limited the number of changes our customers could make to their Preliminary Plans without charging them an additional amount to do so. Lastly and most important, the plans you so capably design in your office, actually work in the field!! I would like to state my satisfaction with Frameworks Design. After working with David on several projects over the last couple of years I am very satisfied with there work. My latest project started out as a simple home turning into a complex custom work of art. They were very easy to work with and have been very helpful as the project continues. I feel the cost was reasonable (including changing home locations on the property) The ability to transfer our wants, needs and desires to paper were quite remarkable including some great ideas! David has also helped us out with knowledge of expert subcontractors in the area. I look forward to working with Frameworks again on the expansion of our building in Burlington. (After the house is complete!!!!!)

What a pleasure it has been to work with David!
David was able to truly listen to what it was we wanted to achieve. He was flexible, willing to ” think outside the box “, and he put forth extra effort to help us accomplish our goals. He followed up on our ideas in a creative way and represented our wishes when dealing with a variety of people. Because he took the initiative, we arrived at a plan that we had been led to believe would not be possible. We are very pleased with the plans he produced for us. David was consistently responsive to phone calls and answered questions in a thorough manner. We appreciate his effort and positive nature and were heartened by his enthusiasm for our project.

We have had dreams of making some changes to our home that would fit our lifestyle, we love the neighborhood we live in so our best option was to create a new look that would serve our needs for years to come.  Neither my husband nor I have any experience with remodels or construction so the thought of jumping into a major remodel was a little intimidating.  It seems like whenever we heard of someone’s remodeling experience there were many problems and issues.  Our contractor recommended David to look at our project, after meeting David and giving him our thoughts of what we would like to accomplish with the remodel, we couldn’t have been more happy.  

David was able to clearly put our ideas into a workable plan, the contractor stated that his blueprints and construction plans were great and easy to work off of, and our permit process was trouble free, David walked us through the process and was available when we had any questions.  We just completed our first phase of the project, we have received many compliments as to the way our house was made more livable and that the design combined the old and new house in a way that made it hard to tell that it wasn’t built like that to begin with.  We are so happy with David and his group we are getting ready to remake our entire kitchen and dining areas and look forward to working with him again.

We are building a home for the first time and were referred to Frameworks Drafting & Design through friends. We came to David with a floor plan and square footage in mind, but we also had a budget. David listened to our needs and wants, used our Pinterest Board, and went through all of our CCRs. He quickly provided us with 2D and 3D colored plans. He was efficient in making changes and communicated with us daily. David even recommended a builder in our budget!
We walked away with a plan package exactly as Snohomish County needed it. We were able to get our permits while waiting for our construction loan. We have made a few changes and David has been more than willing to support us and provide new copies.  Working with Frameworks Drafting and Design has been positive and enjoyable. We would recommend David to all our friends.
